Comprehensive Benefits Program

Cerebral Palsy Associations of New York State recognizes that benefits are an important component of a total compensation package.  To that end, we offera comprehensive benefits program that enables employees to select coverages that make sense for their individual situations.  These benefits are provided to supervisory and professional employees who work a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Health Insurance

Employees are offered two health insurance options through CIGNA. Full-time employees can elect family or individual coverage; part-time employees are eligible for individual coverage.

Dental Insurance

Dental Insurance is provided by Delta Dental and requires no contribution for individual coverage. Eligible employees may choose to use a DMO/PPO network or a private "out-of-network" provider.

Life Insurance & AD&D

Life Insurance and AD&D benefit is an amount equal to two (2) times your annual salary to a maximum of up to $250,000.00. The premium is paid in full by CP of NYS.

Pension Plan

CP of NYS offers  an ERISA 403(b) plan. This plan allows for both employee and employer contributions. Detailed information is available in the HR department.

Flexible Spending Accounts

Employees may deduct pre-tax monies from their paychecks to set up a Dependent Care Expense account to cover childcare expenses or an Healthcare FSA account for expenses not paid for by health insurance. Employee premium contributions for medical dental insurance can also be deducted on a pre-tax basis. In addition, CP of NYS may also provide an employer sponsored health care flexible spending account and may contribute a designated dollar amount each year.

 

Tuition Assistance

Full-time employees with 6 or more months of service may submit for partial reimbursement of the cost of tuition of up to $1,000 per semester ($2,000 maximum per year). All courses must approved in advance, be job related and receive a grade of B or better.

Employee Assistance Program

CP of NYS offers a professional service that provides counseling, information and support for all types of issues and problems. It's available 24-hours a day, 7-days a week by calling 877-622-4327.

Workshop/Conference Reimbursement

Full-time employees are eligible for reimbursement of registration fees (and possibly other costs) for certain conferences and workshops that enhance knowledge and job performance.

Disability and Workers' Compensation

Coverage is provided in accordance with NY State regulations.

Liberal Time-off Benefits

Professional/Supervisory full-time employees are entitled to the following leave time each year (part-time employees receive pro-rated leave based on hours worked):

20 vacation days* (number of days is dependent on position)
15 sick days*
10 holidays*
4 personal days*
3 professional days*

In addition, CP of NYS grants time off with pay for marriage, bereavement, maternity/paternity and jury duty.
*Day = 7.5 hours

Please note that 1199 Union members and non-supervisory employees receive different benefits.

Gym Membership Program

CP of NYS offers employees a discounted corporate gym membership to New York Sports Club through a monthly payroll deduction.  In addition, beginning in 2012 we are offering a participation based Gym Reimbursement Wellness Initiative.  CP of NYS will reimburse employees up to $100 for attending the gym of their choice at least 50 times in a 6 month period (January to June and July to December).  Contact the HR Department for specifics on the program.
